Hello! 👋 I am
Md Raqibur Rahman, seeking a
PhD position in robotics, AI, or intelligent systems.
I study
intelligent systems, computer vision, and robotics, focusing on building practical tools for real-world applications. My research interests include:
- Real-time video analytics for industrial and high-intensity work environments, including object detection, activity monitoring, and efficiency feedback systems.
- Autonomous navigation and mapping algorithms for underwater and aerial robots, including Visual SLAM, visual-inertial localization, and depth/ego-motion learning.
- AI and machine learning applications for predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and efficiency optimization in industrial and maritime systems.
Currently, I am working as a
Lecturer at
North South University and as a
Product Research Engineer at
The Data Island, gaining hands-on experience in AI and robotics projects.
I completed my
Master’s in Marine and Maritime Intelligent Robotics at
NTNU and
Université de Toulon, where my thesis focused on
self-supervised scale-consistent depth and ego-motion learning from monocular video for underwater robots. My undergraduate research at
Islamic University of Technology explored predictive modeling of ships’ estimated time of arrival using neural networks.
I am highly motivated, with strong academic performance and practical experience in robotics, AI, and computer vision. I am eager to contribute to cutting-edge research as a PhD student.
